Preston make point
David Johnson (centre) is congratulated by his team-mates
Johnson (centre) scored his 22nd goal of the season
Preston boss Craig Brown could not hide his relief after his side ended a run of six straight losses with a draw at home to Nottingham Forest.

David Johnson put the visitors ahead but Simon Lynch rescued a point for Preston on his Deepdale debut.

"It's the end of a sequence of unfortunate results," said Brown.

"Our league standing has not reflected how good a team we are.

I think the rules should be changed and the goals made wider!

Forest boss Paul Hart

"Hopefully we can get the results now and get back up the table."

Forest missed the chance to put pressure on the automatic promotion slots in Division One.

Their hopes of a win were undone by poor finishing and the woodwork.

"We had enough chances and did enough to win the game comfortably," said Forest boss Paul Hart.

"On another day you would probably say we would have had as many as five.

"I think the rules should be changed and the goals made wider! We have hit the woodwork a lot lately."
