Brave Norwich reap reward
Norwich substitute Paul McVeigh
Paul McVeigh came off the bench to save his side
Norwich boss Nigel Worthington believes his side's late equaliser at Coventry on Wednesday was just reward for their never-say-die approach.

Coventry's on-loan winger Richie Partridge put the home side in front with a spectacular solo effort.

But Canaries substitute Paul McVeigh preserved his team's unbeaten away record with an equaliser 30 seconds from the end of normal time.

Worthington said: "This was a very good point.

"There is a lot of quality in this Coventry side and when we went a goal down we went in search of an equaliser even though we might have lost by two or three-nil.

We have to be more clinical and put our chances away

Coventry player-boss

"They say fortune favours the brave and it paid off for us."

Norwich's last away defeat was at Coventry in March and they seemed to be heading for another until Northern Ireland international McVeigh struck.

Sky Blues player-manager Gary McAllister said: "We are very disappointed.

"You could see the way Norwich were delighted to go away with a point. I think they knew they had nicked it.

"They had a lot of possession but did not create many problems and we had the gilt-edged chances.

"But we have to be more clinical and put them away."
