Kent football results and summary

Dartford

Dartford are one of just two clubs left with a 100 per cent record in Blue Square Bet South.

They beat Hampton and Richmond 2-1 thanks to goals from Charlie Sheringham and Elliot Bradbrook.

"I'm very pleased with the start," said manager Tony Burman. "But there are three really tough games coming up."

Welling are still unbeaten after winning 4-1 at Farnborough, Tonbridge beat nine-man Eastleigh 4-0 but Dover lost for the first time this season.

Welling's victory makes it two wins and a draw from their first three games.

Andy Pugh netted his third and fourth of the season at Farnborough, Luis Cumbers and Loick Pires also scoring.

Frannie Collin repayed manager Tommy Warrilow for giving him his first start of the season with two goals for Tonbridge who won 4-0 for the second Saturday running.

Warrilow chose Collin, who had been out with an ankle injury, over crowd favourite Jon Main.

"I'm glad we sent the fans home happy," said Warrilow.

"Tey were a big physical side, but once we got the first goal it relaxed us and we got into our stride a bit more."

Dover's winning start ended with a 1-0 defeat at league new boys Truro.

Dover were not helped by a first-half injury to goalkeeper Lee Hook and a red card for defender Tom Wynter.

Margate started their Ryman Premier Division season with a 1-1 draw at Wealdstone, going ahead through a seventh minute own goal.

Hythe Town's first game in the Ryman League was a 3-0 defeat to Godalming.

But, elsewhere in Ryman South, there were wins for Folkestone, Sittingbourne, Ramsgate and Whitstable.

Folkestone's opening day win was with one of the youngest sides manager Neil Cugley has ever fielded for the club.

"We had no Roland Edge, Darren Smith, Paul Jones and Jim Dryden," said Cugley, "so we were without the experienced players.

"Walton and Hersham probably deserved a point in the end but I'm pleased with that."

The new Kent Invicta League began on Friday night with a 4-0 win for Phoenix Sports over Erith and Dartford Town.
