Eastbourne Borough manager Garry Wilson says he has little sympathy for non-league clubs with financial problems.
Wrexham and Rushden & Diamonds have been struggling, while the owner of Farnborough, Simon Hollis, has had to walk away from the club.
Wilson told BBC Sussex: "I get pretty angry about it.
"Too many clubs live beyond their means. They get what they deserve. From a football point of view, I don't have any sympathy for them."
The Sports are gearing up for life in Blue Square Bet South this season following relegation from the top tier of non-league football in April.
"We were judged by what we did on the pitch last year," Wilson added.
"We played against teams that were paying over the odds for players.
"I point maybe to Rushden and even to Wrexham who went out and got the quality players we couldn't.
"We may not be in that higher division, but the difference is we've still got a club. We are in a great position financially, and we look forward to a strong future."
Boro begin their campaign at home to Farnborough on Saturday.
