Nuneaton Town captain Mark Noon signs a new contract

Nuneaton Town

Nuneaton Town captain Mark Noon has signed a new deal at the Blue Square Bet North club.

The influential skipper has been joined by local youngsters James Armson and Eddie Nisevic in agreeing to remain at the Boro next season.

"Having Mark on board sends a clear message," chairman Ian Neale told BBC Coventry and Warwickshire.

"He has been at the club a long time, is a fantastic ambassador for Nuneaton Town and a real leader on the pitch."

He added: "Although no one man makes the team, he plays a massive part in what the club is all about."

Noon, 27, has been at the club for seven years and was made captain by manager Kevin Wilkin in October 2008.

Neale also confirmed the club are in talks with a number of other players after missing out on promotion.
