Farnborough will challenge again, says boss Steve King
Farnborough manager Steve King is targeting another promotion push next season following their defeat in the Blue Square Bet South play-off final.
The Hampshire side missed out on back-to-back promotions after they lost 4-2 to Ebbsfleet on Sunday.
King told BBC Surrey: "I'll have to sit down with the chairman this week and see where we are and what our budget is. That bit is out of my hands.
"Hopefully we will come back and have another go next year. That's the aim."
Chairman Simon Hollis echoed King's belief: "We're establishing ourselves at this level and to finish runners-up and lose in the play-off final is a great achievement.
"The expectation is on us next season to go and be up there next year.
"It's a tough, tough league but we'll be there or thereabouts, make no mistake."
Hollis confirmed that former King will remain in charge at the Rushmoor Community Stadium following speculation surrounding the former Lewes manager's future.
"We've got to sit down and have a chat about where we go from here," Hollis said.
"But Steve is contracted to Farnborough and I don't see anything changing."
