Gainsborough's Brian Little cautious despite victory

Gainsborough Trinity

Gainsborough Trinity manager Brian Little insists his side are not safe from relegation yet, despite a 2-1 win over Hyde in Blue Square Bet North.

Ryan Kendall and Andrew Boyce scored in the space of two second-half minutes to open up a five-point gap over Hyde who take up the final relegation place.

Little told BBC Lincolnshire: "It's not over yet but it's a great result.

"Five points is a healthy gap but we've got some tough games to come so we need to stay focused and get more points."

Hyde took the lead on the half-hour mark, with Kevin Holsgrove firing home following a counter-attack.

But Trinity levelled on 75 minutes when Kendall headed home Lewis McMahon's cross and went ahead two minutes later with another header, as Boyce diverted Ryan Williams' shot into the net.

Little added: "We did it the hard way again. Although we had four or five chances in the first half I didn't think we played with any sort of tempo.

"I felt if we pushed the game in the second half we could give them a problem or two and thankfully it worked."
