AFC Telford can dent Alfreton's title hopes - Sinton
Telford have only lost once at home in the league this season
AFC Telford United boss Andy Sinton says his side have an opportunity to dent the hopes of title rivals Alfreton when the sides meet on Tuesday.
Alfreton, who are second in Blue Square Bet North, are unbeaten away from home this season and have four games in hand over fourth-placed Telford.
"They're the side to beat, if they win their games in hand they're flying," Sinton told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"They have a big backlog of games and that might catch up with them."
Sinton added: "They're a good side and it's going to be a good test, but they'll know we're a good side as well."
The Bucks drew 0-0 with Alfreton at the Impact Arena in October last year. Nicky Law's side have eight games in hand over current league leaders Nuneaton.
But the Telford boss believes promotion will not be won or lost on Tuesday night.
"The points will go a long way towards what happens at the end of April, but there's a long way to go."
Telford could give a debut to on-loan Wolves keeper Aaron McCarey who has come in to cover Ryan Young's four-match suspension.
