Striker Mikel Suarez has left Boston United to join Evo-Stik Premier side Worksop Town.

The Bilbao-born player was part of the Pilgrims squad which won promotion to Blue Square North last season.

However he has struggled to gain a regular place after being injured in pre-season and the club said it was a mutual decision to cancel his contract.

"Mikel has played a key role in our success over the last 18 months," said Boston joint manager Paul Hurst.

"However his injury [a broken collarbone] in pre-season ensured he faced an uphill task to get back up to speed this season," Hurst told the club website.

Suarez scored 12 goals in 57 appearnaces for the Pilgrims.
