Manager Stuart Peace to stay at Didcot Town

Stuart Peace - the most successful manager in the history of Didcot Town - has decided stay at Loop Meadow.

Peace was set to stand down following a midweek loss to Swindon Supermarine, but was persuaded to stay after talks with the players and chairman.

"It came to a point where I thought 'have I taken this club as far as I can take it?'," Peace told BBC Oxford.

"I needed some reassurances that the club felt I was still the right man to take us forward."

Peace added: "There were a lot of frank and open discussions between us all. After lengthy talks we've decided that I want to continue and they want me to continue."

Having taken over the in the Hellenic League Peace has guided the Railwayman to two promotions and an FA Vase win over AFC Sudbury in 2005.
