Stafford Rangers boss Tim Flowers has appointed his old Leicester City team-mate Matt Elliott as first team coach.
Elliott, who had a spell as assistant boss to Dean Edwards at Hednesford Town, has joined the Blue Square Bet North team on a non-contract basis.
He joined Leicester from Oxford in 1997 and scored both goals in the 2-1 League Cup final win over Tranmere in 2000.
Elliott has also played for Leatherhead, Epsom & Ewell, Charlton Athletic, Torquay and Scunthorpe.
Flowers and Elliott had a four-year spell as team-mates at Leicester from 1999 to 2003.
Stafford, 18th in Blue Square Bet North, appointed Flowers last week having been without a manager since Chris Brindley resigned on 5 October.
