Michael Rankine has netted five goals for York this season

Managerless York bounced back from Tuesday's 5-0 thrashing at Mansfield to beat Tamworth and claim their first away win of the season.

Michael Rankine's penalty gave City a first-half lead after he was fouled in the area by Richard Tait.

The Minstermen grabbed a second after the break when Alex Lawless fired past Ross Atkins from inside the area.

Jamal Fyfield's close-range finish made it 3-0 before Scott Barrow struck a late consolation from outside the area.
