AFC Telford United have signed Northern Ireland striker James Lawrie, reports BBC Radio Shropshire.
The 19-year-old forward has been one of the main targets for manager Andy Sinton since he took over at the New Bucks Head.
But Sinton has had to remain patient after Lawrie had trials with Exeter City, Stevenage and Morecambe.
Lawrie picked up the first of his two international caps in 2009 for Northern Ireland in the 3-0 defeat by Italy.
He made 27 appearances for Port Vale but only managed to score two goals before he was released at the end of last season.
He was loaned out to Kidderminster Harriers in February to gain first-team experience.
Sinton is expected to include Lawrie in his squad to play Wolves in a pre-season friendly at the New Bucks Head on Tuesday night.
