Bromsgrove Rovers boss Daniels is focusing on football
Bromsgrove Rovers have been at the Victoria Ground for 100 years
Bromsgrove Rovers manager Steve Daniels says the club has to move on from the off-field political battles and focus on the football challenges ahead.
Daniels is busy assembling his squad although Rovers are not yet sure they will be playing at the Victoria Ground.
"People keep asking me about the current political situation at the club and it is difficult," he said.
"But as far as I am concerned we will be playing in the Southern League and hopefully at the Victoria Ground."
Rovers lost out in the bidding process for the Victoria Ground to Bromsgrove Sporting - a club formed by disaffected Rovers supporters.
Daniels says it has not been easy trying to assemble a squad against the backdrop of this uncertainty although he insists it has not been a major factor with potential signings.
I've got 22 players coming in for the first training session and I am looking at another three players
Bromsgrove Rovers manager Steve Daniels
"I had a phonecall this morning from a player that I have been trying to get for some time and who has been playing at a higher level," he told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"He did ask the question: 'What is the situation at the Victoria Ground?'
"I told him the situation is that I am trying to build a team and the political side is down to the powers-that-be.
"But that is the only question I have had on the issue from a player as everybody else has been totally focused on coming to play for us."
The battle of words between Rovers and Bromsgrove Sporting over Rovers' proposed use of the Victoria Ground has been acrimonious but that permission is seen as key to Daniels' side remaining in the Southern League.
But he remains confident they will kick off the new season in the Southern League's South West Division.
"The fixtures come out on 14 July but that is down to the chairman to sort that out as I have got enough on my plate," he said.
"I am busy trying to build a squad that is going to be successful and challenge for promotion.
"I've got 22 players coming in for the first training session and I am looking at another three players.
"If I can get the three players I am after then that's me done."
