AFC Telford United boss Andy Sinton is confident of welcoming new signings before the end of the week.
The 44-year-old, who recently took over from Rob Smith at New Bucks Head, claims the club are making progress on the transfer front.
He told BBC Radio Shropshire: "We've got a couple of targets to come in, hopefully by the end of the week we'll be in a position to say they're signed.
"We're just about there with one of them, I'm pretty positive."
Sinton has made the full back position one of his priorities after Lee Vaughan signed for Kidderminster Harriers.
The former Fleet Town manager is also confident striker Andy Brown will renew his contract.
The club's leading goal-scorer last season has verbally agreed to stay with Telford.
Goal keeper Ryan Young is the first player to put pen to paper agreeing to stay at the club.
