Cutts made it two goals in two games for Durham City
Unibond Premier League side Durham City followed up their first win in 29 games this season with a 4-3 defeat of Whitby Town at the Esh Group Stadium.
Richard Ord's side opened up a 3-0 lead through Andrew Stephenson, Elliot Cutts and Craig Harbord although Whitby did pull one back before half-time.
Stephenson's second restored the three-goal cushion but a late revival from Whitby ensured a tense finish.
Durham remain bottom of the table, 17 points adrift of safety.
City's struggles this season stem from sponsors pulling out after the Football Association confirmed their plastic pitch would not allow them to win promotion to Conference level.
