Margate manager Iain O'Connell believes his squad have what it takes to survive in the Ryman League Premier Division.
Margate, second from bottom of the table, registered a second straight win with Saturday's 2-1 success away to fellow strugglers Billericay.
O'Connell told BBC Radio Kent: "If we maintain the level of performance we showed against Tooting in midweek, and against Billericay, we'll be fine.
"There is quality in the side and bags of experience. We've a chance."
Margate's strength of character shone through as they played for 80 minutes with 10-men after John Keister was sent off.
O'Connell had no complaints with the decision and said: "It was a two-footed tackle and the referee got it right.
"The problem is that we lose him for three games, which may force me to bring someone in."
