Stevenage 0-0 Kidderminster Harriers (agg 5-1)

FA Trophy

Holders Stevenage booked a return to Wembley after safely seeing out their FA Trophy semi-final second leg against Kidderminster at Broadhall Way.

Harriers put up a better fist of it by holding the Blue Square Premier leaders to a goalless draw on their home patch.

But the damage was done in last weekend's first leg at Aggborough when Harriers went down 5-1.

Harriers had chances to claw back their deficit, but Darryl Knights missed the best opening three minutes from time.

Twice winners Stevenage, who came from two down to beat Harriers 3-2 in the 2006 final, will be chasing a third FA Trophy victory in four years.

And Graham Westley's side will start favourites in this year's final at Wembley on 8 May - against Blue Square Premier strugglers Barrow.

The Cumbrian side booked their place with a 2-1 win at Holker Street against Salisbury City, earning the Bluebirds a 3-1 aggregate victory.

Saturday's second leg at Broadhall Way was a somewhat low key affair thanks to the brace apiece for Stevenage duo Dave Bridges and Chris Beardsley, plus a Yemi Odubade strike, which had rendered this second leg almost meaningless.

Less than 100 away fans bothered to make the trip to Hertfordshire, but the Harriers team were keen to at least try and salvage some pride.

The hosts started brightly, almost taking an early lead when Beardsley's low cross caused havoc in the Harriers box.

But Steve Burr's Harriers, who played with four up front, had the better chances in an entertaining first-half.

And, despite chances for the home side for Odubade and Mitchell Cole, and that late effort from Knights, it remained goalless.
