AFC Telford United are working hard to bring in two new players ahead of their trip to Hyde on Saturday.
The Bucks are without Sean Evans, who now serves a four-match ban, and midfielder Chris Nurse has moved back to United States.
"We are making progress. I'd like to think by the weekend we'll have one maybe two new faces," assistant manager Larry Chambers told BBC Shropshire.
"I'd be disappointed if we didn't get them in to play."
The Bucks have been left with a small squad with just nine league games left to go. Midfielder Kevin O'Connor has already been ruled out of the Hyde match with a hamstring injury.
Striker Steve Thompson stands a better chance of playing after recovering from a hamstring strain.
