Northern League side Billingham Town could be wound up after Hartlepool United issued a writ for unpaid debts.
Documents demanding payment of an unconfirmed sum were found taped to the front gates of Billingham's Bedford Terrace ground on Thursday.
Hartlepool's reserves currently play their fixtures at the venue, with the League One side tending to its upkeep.
However Pools say they have not received any money from Town since October 2008, despite several warnings.
Billingham Town told BBC Tees Sport yesterday that they were disappointed by Pools stance, and will appear in court on Thursday, 18 May.
