Boss Nicky Law backs new Alfreton signing Chris Hall

Blue Square North

Alfreton Town boss Nicky Law expects new signing Chris Hall to play a significant role in the club's quest for a Blue Square North play-off spot.

But Law, the Blue Square North manager of the month for February, said the 26-year-old is likely to be his last signing this season.

He said: "A lot of our rivals are still signing players but I'm happy with what we have. Chris is a good addition.

"We have 12 games to go and I can see him playing a big part in the run-in."

Hall began his career with Lincoln United in 2003 and had trials with Leicester City before being signed by Burton Albion manager Nigel Clough in May 2004.

He had a three-year stay at the Pirelli Stadium, making more than 100 appearances before joining Gainsborough in June 2007.

Alfreton are next in action on Saturday, when they are at home against Gloucester.
