Dorchester's Ryan Moss holds back signing new contract
Dorchester Town striker Ryan Moss will not sign a contract extension until the vacant manager's position is filled.
Roy O'Brien left the Blue Square South side in December, but a replacement is yet to be found, with Ashley Vickers in charge until the end of the season.
Moss, 23, told the Dorset Echo: "I was offered a contract last Thursday but my position is that I want to know who the manager is for next season.
"I want to be playing for someone I trust," he added.
But Moss, who scored in Dorchester's 2-0 win against Bishop's Stortford on Saturday, said he would be happy if Vickers was handed the position on a full-time basis.
"Management is a different role for him but he's taken to it brilliantly," he said.
"We don't have a permanent manager as such but a lot of players, such as James Coutts and Kyle Critchell, are here because of Ash and they all trust him.
"A lot of the players would sign a new contract tomorrow if they knew he was going to be manager heading into next season.
"That's something perhaps the club needs to look into because players want to know what they're doing next season."
