Dover boss Andy Hessenthaler wants his team to sharpen its cutting edge after Saturday's 2-0 defeat away to Blue Square South play-off rivals Woking.
He told BBC Radio Kent: "We gave them a football lesson but it hasn't won us the game.
"We need a cutting edge and more quality up front. I'm gutted for the players but I'm not too disappointed.
"We will play worse and win. There are 45 points to get so there's plenty to play for."
Dover are in Kent Senior Cup action on Tuesday night when they play away to Folkestone.
But Hessenthaler admits the competition does not figure among his priorities and will miss the tie in favour of undertaking a scouting mission.
"It's a competition we have to play in but if it was down to me we wouldn't be a part of it," he said.
