Worcester City boss Richard Dryden is stymied by snow

Dryden has not had a home games since 15 December.

Worcester City boss Richard Dryden has been frustrated in the lack of training facilities for his snowbound players ahead of the trip to Bishops Stortford.

City have managed to play just twice since 12 December due to the bad weather - and Dryden admits that even finding a place to train has been hard.

"We've had nowhere to train. It's been a long two or three weeks," Dryden told BBC Hereford & Worcester.

"Maybe we will go down in our training kit and have a bit of a session."

Dryden added: "We have been able to get some physical training in at Kidderminster this week, but it will be great to get the balls out and play again.

"We did a bit of work on Tuesday in the snow but, to be honest, after an hour it became a snowball fight.

"Hopefully the lads have kept themselves fit. But we will work hard when we can, and try and stay sharp ready for the games."

City remain in trouble in Blue Square South, in 19th, just two points away from the drop zone.

But they won at Basingstoke over Christmas before following that with another encouraging display, going down only 1-0 at leaders Newport County on New Year's Day.

"Hopefully we can remember the last three or four games we played," said Dryden. "We deserved the win at Basingstoke and deserved more against Newport."

City have since been hit by news of skipper Tom Kemp's planned move to West Midland rivals Telford United.

That deal is now off but other clubs have shown an interest and it is not yet clear whether he will still play for City.

Bishops Stortford v City on Saturday (16 January, 1500 GMT) will be one of the games featured in Sport on Saturday on BBC Hereford & Worcester.
