Redditch United boss Gary Whild praises Stratford Town
Whild has taken his side to 13th place in Blue Square North
Redditch United manager Gary Whild has been praising neighbours Stratford Town, after they allowed the Reds to use their all-weather surface.
Redditch are hoping their game against Droylsden in Blue Square North is on after supporters cleared the snow off the Valley Stadium pitch.
Whild told BBC Hereford and Worcester his players should be fairly fit.
"Stratford have been kind to us and we have a good session there last Saturday and again on Tuesday.
"Getting players to the sessions has been a bit difficult with players travelling some distance.
"It looks as if we will be playing Saturday and Tuesday for most teams, although we have a couple more games than most, it will be a bit hectic."
Whild says when the snow clears there could be more problems in store for the Valley Stadium pitch.
"The help the supporters have given us has been great, bit if it thaws and it pours with rain it may be a different set of problems.
"The lads have improved all season and it would be nice to start afresh with that under the belt, so we are looking forward to the second half of the season.
"Droylesden are a team that are going to be there at the end, of the season.
"They are a very good foot-balling side capable of beating anyone, as they have proved in the F.A. Cup."
Meanwhile, Redditch United have reached a settlement with the creditor who had brought a winding-up order against the club.
The Reds' chairman Ken Rae told BBC Hereford and Worcester that any threat from the petition was now firmly behind them.
