King's Lynn manager Carl Heggs celebrates his goal against Matlock
Lowestoft Town had a frustrating day against Sutton Coldfield Town in the third qualifying round of the FA Cup.
Former Canary Gary Holt made his debut for the Blues at Crown Meadow but a replay is necessary on Monday night after a goalless draw.
There was no shortage of goals at The Walks however, as King's Lynn ran out 5-1 winners over Matlock Town to continue their climb up the Unibond Premier Division table.
Lynn are up to third in the league and although they have played more games than most teams around them there seems to be some encouraging signs from Carl Heggs' side.
Meanwhile Anglian Combination sides caused a number of third round shocks in the Norfolk Senior Cup at the weekend.
Curtis Shaw scored on his debut for the Linnetts
Loddon United, Sheringham and Spixworth United all caused upsets by beating teams from the Ridgeons First Division, while there were a number of other Combination sides who gave their more senior opponents a scare.
Acle were narrowly beaten 1-0 by Diss Town, Norwich St Johns pushed Gorleston all the way but eventually lost 3-2, while Hempnall also went close and fell to an extra-time goal at Fakenham.
Past finalists Sheringham, who have not had the best of starts to the defence of their Premier Division crown in the Anglian Combination, will be in the hat thanks to a 4-2 win at home to Swaffham Town.
That scoreline was replicated by Spixworth United, who put paid to the hopes of Thetford Town, while Loddon United also made home advantage count with a 3-1 win over Downham Town.
The draw for the fourth round will be made live on BBC Radio Norfolk's Local Report this Friday, and with the Ridgeons Premier Division teams entering the fray it will be interesting to see who the giant killers will be up against.
