Boston United have signed striker Jamie Yates from Alfreton Town.
Yates, 20, scored three goals in eight league appearances for Rotherham United, where he was a team-mate of Pilgrims striker Marc Newsham.
After his release in the summer he joined Alfreton but made only two substitute appearances for the Blue Square North club.
He is the Pilgrims' second signing in a week, after Doncaster Rovers midfielder Robbie Clark joined on a month's loan.
Yates could make his debut for Boston in Tuesday's Unibond Premier Division match at home to Retford United.
