AFC Telford United boss Rob Smith apologised to fans after his side had to fight back from two down to draw 2-2 with Hinckley United.

Telford were two down at half-time after Adam Webster and Neil Cartwright put the visitors ahead.

Goals from Lee Vaughan and Andy Brown helped secure a point for the Bucks who had Carl Rodgers sent off late on.

Smith told BBC Radio Shropshire: "All I can do is apologise for that first half performance from our side."

"In my time here I have never seen a half like that. It shocked me," the Bucks boss added.

"I said to the players 'if you're playing to get us the sack then you're doing a good job because if I was the chairman I'd be asking questions of me after that'.

Telford lost defender Jimmy Turner with a side strain in the first half and he is rated doubtful for their Blue Square North trip to Gainsborough on Saturday.

Midfielder Rodgers was sent off for a straight red card towards the end of the match.
