Gainsborough Trinity beat Droylsden 4-2 at the Northolme to earn their first win of the season in Blue Square North.
Lewis McMahon scored the first two goals from the penalty spot, with Droylsden's Colin Cryan sent off after receiving yellow cards for both fouls.
Glynn Hurst made it 3-0 on his Trinity debut before Paul Lloyd and Tony Gray struck late on to give the Bloods hope.
But Trinity had the last word with Luke Beckett scoring at the death to wrap up the victory for Steve Charles' side.
Charles told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "The lads were tremendous, especially in the first half when we put them under a lot of pressure.
"We maybe took our foot off the pedal a little bit then, we have to make sure we see these teams off.
"We know we've got goals in the side, we just need to keep working hard and doing the right things but we're learning and we're slowly gelling."
