Worcester City's new skipper Tom Kemp says he is not daunted by captaining older and more experienced players.
The 22-year-old defender was given the armband for the first time in Saturday's opening day defeat by Bromley at St. George's Lane.
"You can go about it in the right way, you don't shout at people unless you need to," the centre-half told BBC Hereford & Worcester.
"At the end of the day we all go out there with a job to do.
"I don't think you earn their respect by shouting at people, you do it by your performances and what you do in training.
"We have a good bunch of lads and a good gaffer and we should have eleven captains on the pitch.
"Sadly we did not do it against Bromley, but we had some good pre-season performances.
"It's a long season, we have all been there before but everyone has to stick with us, and I think we'll be fine."
Kemp will lead Worcester out at St.Albans City in Blue Square South on Tuesday 11 August (1945 BST) and there will be full coverage of the game on BBC Hereford and Worcester.
