Didcot Town manager Stuart Peace says he is excited by the prospect of their pre-season friendly against Reading at Loop Meadow on Wednesday at 1930 BST.
The Championship side are regular summer opponents for the Railwaymen in the build-up to the new campaign.
"We play them every year and to be fair they always bring a strong side, " Peace told BBC Oxford.
"Apparently they are bringing two teams and the full squad. Once again it will be a tough test for us."
The match will be the first for the Royals' new boss Brendon Rodgers since he took charge at the Madjeski Stadium.
Didcot striker Mark Draycott will make his debut for the team, after he officially joining Town earlier this week.
