Worcester City manager Richard Dryden has made his first signing of the summer, bringing in promising young goalkeeper Jake Meredith.

The 21-year-old, who lives in Evesham, was with Blue Square South rivals Team Bath last season.

The student team's withdrawal from the league left him looking for a new club.

He ais set to be a straight replacement for Danny McDonnell who will be taking on a coaching role, although still registered as a player.

Meredith started his career at Aston Villa and was with Birmingham City's academy before being released in the summer of 2007 and joining Team Bath.
