Wilson has had two spells as Kettering Town manager
Ilkeston Town have named former Derby, Ipswich, Chelsea and Northern Ireland striker Kevin Wilson as their manager.
Wilson takes over from Paul Hurst and Rob Scott, who have left to take over at Boston United after guiding the club to promotion from the Unibond Premier.
The 48-year-old who has had spells in charge of Northampton, Kettering and Hucknall, said: "I need a challenge and the challenge is Ilkeston.
"They have a fantastic stadium, and the fan base is there."
Director of football Jim Cheetham added: "This is the right thing for us. He has good experience."
