AFC Telford United confirmed their place in the Blue Square North play-offs after a 3-0 win over Burscough.

Danny Carey-Bertram made the most of poor defending to shoot Telford ahead from a narrow angle after five minutes.

The Bucks then laboured until the break, but Phil Trainer's solo effort and a Carey-Bertram volley settled it.

"We're exhausted," Bucks boss Rob Smith told BBC Radio Shropshire. "Our cup runs made it difficult for us, but the play-offs will be a different story."

Telford have injury problems ahead of their last league match against Tamworth at the weekend. James Meredith was taken off after breaking his nose and midfielder Danny Edwards was taken to hospital with an arm injury.

Bucks defender Indy Khela pulled his hamstring in the second half against Burscough and he has been ruled out for the rest of the season and the play-offs.

Tamworth were crowned champions on Tuesday night after beating Hinckley and Southport's defeat at Blyth Spartans.
