Welsh has seen Boston extend their unbeaten run to six games
Boston United moved closer to safety in the Unibond Premier division with a 0-0 draw at home to title-chasing Ilkeston Town on Easter Monday.
The draw and Saturday's victory at Hednesford have left the Pilgrims four points clear of the relegation zone.
Manager Steve Welsh told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "We've defended stoutly and done well without really creating any clear chances.
"Other results haven't gone for us but it's been a very pleasing weekend."
In-form striker Ricky Miller and Alex Beck had Boston's best chances, while Jon Douglas struck the bar for the visitors.
Welsh added: "If you'd told me on Friday we'd take four points from the two games I'd have bitten your hand off.
"We've played one of the play-off favourites in Hednesford and the team who are second in the league with very little time between, and I think we've proved we're a match for them so we shouldn't be afraid of anybody."
