Trinity planning for next season

Gainsborough Trinity

Gainsborough Trinity manager Steve Charles has already begun to make preparations for the 2009/10 season.

Assistant manager Dave Reeves missed last weekend's 1-1 draw at Redditch to scout possible transfer targets.

Charles told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "We're trying to watch as many games as possible before the end of the season.

"We're being proactive and we're trying to strengthen for next year, but sometimes it's difficult when we've got matches and everyone else is playing."

Trinity currently lie 11th in Blue Square North and will be looking to halt a six-match winless run when they travel to Vauxhall Motors on Saturday.

"We've got three draws, but have to improve," said Charles.

"There's been too many times when we've been in the driving seat but haven't taken advantage when we've had the momentum going our way."
