AFC Telford United 5-1 Vauxhall Motors

Cup specialists Telford got their Blue Square North form back on track with a 5-1 win over Vauxhall Motors.

Recent signings Phil Trainer (two) and Mark Danks scored their first goals for the club, with Terry Fearns and Liam Blakeman completing the rout.

But boss Rob Smith put it to his players: "How stupid do you feel that we lost to Workington at the weekend?

"We can play so well. Six points rather than three this week would've put us in an even greater position."

Telford came from behind to beat Vauxhall after Karl Noon had given the Merseysiders a shock lead.

The result takes the Bucks up to third spot in the Blue Square North, just two points behind leaders Gateshead - leaving Smith to rue recent defeats by the likes of Workington, Hyde and Fleetwood.

They reached the FA Trophy quarter-finals and Setanta Shield semis this season.
