Beckett has been prolific since moving down to the Blue Square North

Striker Luke Beckett has signed a new deal to stay at Gainsborough Trinity until the end of next season.

The 32-year-old joined the Blue Square North team earlier this campaign after leaving League One outfit Huddersfield Town by mutual consent.

Beckett has scored seven goals in eight games since joining the Lincolnshire club in November.

Gainsborough have also sold midfielder Adam Smith to Blue Square Premier club York City for an undisclosed fee.
