Telford boss Rob Smith is still eyeing up a new signing (James Baylis)
AFC Telford boss Rob Smith is stepping up his bid to bring in a new face this week, reports BBC Radio Shropshire.
"I think it's the right time to strengthen," said Smith. "But we've only got room for one more player.
"Everybody keeps telling me to strengthen, but they don't tell me where the money's coming from".
Telford's FA Trophy tie against Hayes & Yeading was called off on Saturday due to a frozen pitch. The game will now be played on Tuesday night (13 January).
Telford still have injury concerns ahead of the rearranged tie, with Steve Jagielka (medial ligament) and Indy Khela (hamstring) out of action.
Defender Lee Vaughan, who aggravated an ankle injury in training last week, may be included in the squad to face Hayes & Yeading. But Smith still needs to provide cover.
"If it comes off it's got be someone decent," he said. "We will probably pursue this a bit more after Tuesday's game, but it may happen earlier."
