Whild says team spirit could be vital to the Reds' success
Redditch United manager Gary Whild says he is working hard on building a strong team spirit at Valley Stadium.
Whild told BBC Hereford and Worcester that sense of togetherness could take them a long way this season.
"It's never been a secret - it's us against everybody else and that's what we try and work towards, so long may it continue," he said.
"What goes on off the field, that's incidental - it's about the lads on the pitch and the fans."
While he admits the club cannot compete financially with many of their Blue Square North rivals, the Reds boss is delighted that his side are unbeaten away from home in the league this season, a record they will put on the line at Gainsborough Trinity on Saturday.
Trinity are yet to win at home this season but Whild believes it will be a decent test of his side as he always regards it as a difficult trip.
The players have performed consistently and they are starting to get the wins and the rub of the green

The Reds go into the game in good heart after a 1-0 win at Workington in their last outing - a result that saw them climb to 13th place in the Blue Square North table.
And Whild says the win in Cumbria has given everyone a lift and, given their good record away from Valley Stadium, means they travel in a confident frame of mind.
"We had three draws on the road that could easily have been wins," he said.
"The main thing is that the players have performed consistently and they are starting to get the wins and the rub of the green, but it's no more than they deserve."
There will be coverage of the Reds' trip to Gainsborough in BBC Hereford and Worcester's Sport on Saturday with Trevor Owens.
