Bacup and Colne in FA Cup action

Football

For the third weekend running, a mixture of cup and league action awaits Lancashire's Vodkat League clubs.

The BBC Radio Lancashire featured match is between Bacup and Unibond Premier League side Cammell Laird, in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup.

Borough have not played since their impressive win in the same competition against St Helens a fortnight ago.

Colne travel to Sheffield of the Unibond First Division, who knocked AFC Fylde out in the previous round.

In the Vodkat League Premier Division, Nelson are Lancashire's highest placed club and they will be looking to extend their four match unbeaten run at home to Alsager Town.

AFC Fylde have won only once in their last four games, but will start as favourites at home to lowly Abbey Hey.

Ramsbottom United have lost three games in a row, and will be looking to arrest the decline when they travel to face Runcorn Linnets.

Squires Gate have only played one league game at home so far this season, and they return back to School Road to entertain Maine Road.

In the Vodkat League First Division, AFC Blackpool will continue the search for their first win of the season when they visit Cheadle Town.

Darwen are another side without a win all season, and they face a difficult looking trip to face a Daisy Hill side that has won three successive league games.

Padiham will look to bounce back from an unlucky defeat at Runcorn in the Vase last weekend when they face Eccleshall at the Arbories.
