Smith is hoping the team-bonding exercise will prove positve (BBC)
AFC Telford boss Rob Smith has arranged a team-bonding weekend in the hope of improving their performances for the coming season.
"They're pretty together anyway, but some time away will help all of us to get to know each other better," Smith told BBC Radio Shropshire.
The exercise will also help the Bucks prepare for their game with 2007 FA Cup heroes Havant and Waterlooville.
"It'll be a real test. If we're not at the races, we'll get done," Smith said.
Smith wants his side to turn in a better performance than the one they managed in their 4-1 defeat against Nottingham Forest in their last pre-season game.
"I want the right response from the lads after what I thought was a bit of a sloppy first-half.
"I had a go at them at half-time and some of the new lads saw a different side to me.
"The season's getting close now and things are starting to get serious."
