Harrogate see the signing of Provett as a major coup

Harrogate Town have signed 25-year-old goalkeeper Jim Provett from League Two side Bury.

Provett has moved to Wetherby Road after making 41 appearances for Bury last season.

The Stockton-born player began his career at Hartlepool where he made 78 appearances in eight years.

Harrogate manager Neil Aspin had been looking for a goalkeeper after losing previous number one Jon McLoughlin to Bradford City.
