Lowestoft Town chairman Geoff Price has stepped down with immediate effect.
A statement from him on the FA Vase finalists' website said: "Regrettably, the club has issues relating to certain banned supporters/members.
"These people have attempted to interfere with my business and have impacted heavily on my personal life in ways that have become unacceptable."
Price took over at Lowestoft in September 2007 after the club had been rescued from the threat of bankruptcy.
He continued: "I leave the club in a financially sound position, with no long-term debts. All overdrafts have been cleared and accounts now possess a sufficient balance to ensure the long-term stability of the club."
Price also paid tribute to the club's staff: "I leave the club with many happy memories and am proud to have been involved in its running.
"I would like to thank all those involved in bringing me into the club, and for their support during my time as chairman. I wish the club every success in the future."
A new chairman is likely to be appointed on 30 June.
The Suffolk side lost 2-1 to Kirkham & Wesham in the FA Vase final at Wembley in May.
