Boston in ground lease settlement

York Street
Boston have played on the site of York Street for their entire history

Boston United have resolved their dispute with the owners of their York Street stadium over their lease.

The Malkinson family had wanted the Pilgrims to forfeit the remainder of the 11-year lease for the non-payment of rent under the club's former owners.

The two parties have reached an out-of-court settlement to allow Boston to remain at the ground.

Chairman David Newton told the club website: "I'm pleased that we have been able to reach an amicable agreement."

The Pilgrims are having a hearing on Wednesday after appealing their demotion from the Blue Square North.
