Date set for Pilgrims FA appeal

Boston chairman David Newton
Chairman David Newton thinks Boston have good grounds to appeal

The Football Association have confirmed they will hear Boston United's appeal against demotion from the Blue Square North on Wednesday, 11 June.

A time and venue for the meeting have yet to be arranged.

Boston requested a personal hearing after the Football Conference revealed their plan to to expel the Pilgrims for breaching insolvency regulations.

But club officials believe they have a strong case, having made an effort to come out of administration early.

The Pilgrims formally ended their Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) on Tuesday 20 May, just one year into the three-year agreement.

Conference rules state that member clubs must be out of administration by the second Saturday in May.
