AFC Telford United keeper Ryan Young has signed a new two-year deal after being named club player of the year.
"He's been outstanding for us, his attitude has been first class, and this is a good move for the club," boss Rob Smith told BBC Radio Shropshire.
Jimmy Turner and Jamie Vermiglio have signed one-year deals but Luke Reynolds and Richard Teesdale were released.
"Jimmy's gone through brick walls for us, and Jamie is a quality player," Smith added.
He continued: "As a club we can't afford to stand still, and if we're to improve then players have to go.
"Luke and Richard both pretty much accepted it was time to move on, and I wish them all the best."
There will be more changes as Smith speaks to all his players about their futures at Telford.
