Telford still have long-term faith in their manager, Rob Smith
Rob Smith and Larry Chambers have been promised jobs at AFC Telford United "for as long as they want" - even if they miss out on promotion.
Telford finished Wednesday night's Blue Square North play-off first leg 2-0 down to Barrow, but chairman Lee Carter said: "They've done a fantastic job.
"The first thing we said at the interview was 'Please, please, please get us off the bottom of the league.
"They've done that and more. They're probably the club's biggest asset."
Telford finished second in the Blue Square North, three places and four points higher than Barrow. And, after going down 2-0 at Holker Street on Wednesday night, Telford now face a tough second leg at the Bucks Head on Sunday against an in-form Barrow, who extended their fantastic, unbeaten run since 26 January to 19 games.
But, as far as the future of manager Smith and his number two Chambers are concerned, their position at the club is not in doubt.
"What they've done for the team is almost as astonishing as the whole story of where the club's come from in the last four years," Carter told BBC Radio Shropshire.
Telford are without Simon Forsdick and Gary Fitzpatrick, who will both miss the game through injury. But club captain Steve Jagielka believes the Bucks are capable of overturning their first-leg deficit.
"It's a difficult scoreline, even for us," he told BBC Radio Shropshire. "But, if we get an early goal, we've got half a chance.
"There will be a lot of fans cheering us on and it is a good opportunity for us."
