Eastbourne Borough manager Garry Wilson says he is "quietly confident" ahead of their Blue Square South play-off fixtures with Braintree Town.
Top scorer Andy Atkin is back from suspension with key players Matt Smart and Marc Pullan returning from injury.
Wilson told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "It'll be difficult but I really feel we can win this.
"We've got a great squad of players and we're not second in the league for nothing. We deserve to be there."
Borough travel to Braintree on 29 April and play the return leg in East Sussex on 3 May.
Eastbourne have come close to making the non-league football's top tier before, losing in the 2005 play-off final to Altrincham at Stoke's Britannia Stadium.
Wilson says they have progressed massively since then: "In our last play-off final we weren't the best prepared. This year we're more mature as a club.
"Everything about it is better. It's pointing to a victory for Eastbourne Borough."
