Nolan's late goal keeps King's Lynn ahead (Linnets On Film)

King's Lynn's Southern League Premier Division title challenge will be decided on the final day of the season.

The Linnets drew 1-1 at Gloucester, but second-placed Team Bath got a late winner at Bromsgrove to make it 3-2.

They are level on points, with Lynn ahead on goal difference. The Linnets travel to Merthyr Tydfil and Team Bath visit Chippenham on the final day.

Lynn manager Keith Webb said: "It's a hard league to get out of, we've just got to make sure we finish the job."

The game's point of controversy arrived when Lynn were awarded a penalty, but Gloucester captain Neil Mustoe did his best to put off Francis, scuffing the spot with his studs and incensing the King's Lynn manager.

"I thought that was an absolutely disgraceful thing to do.

"To walk over, when the ref has his back turned and kick and scuff the penalty spot was absolutely disgraceful, that shouldn't be in the game, and neither should he."

The incident went unseen by the referee and his assistants and Francis' spot-kick was then saved by Sawyer.

Gloucester took the lead in the second half with a rare attack, but the Linnets equalised in the last 10 minutes, thanks to winger Matt Nolan.
